Perforated surfaces are found throughout architecture from old lattice-works in the Middle East to modern buildings in the West. I thought it would be great to apply to smaller scale jewelry designs and came up with the Perforated Honeycomb Ring.

Design:
The ring is constructed out of Polyamide- a nylon plastic - that is formed by an additive layer by layer process known as Selective Laser Sintering (a form of 3D Printing). I designed it to have a break on the bottom of the ring to give it a little more flexibility in terms of size. Each ring is coated with a clear protective finish. The end result is an eye-catching ring that is very lightweight yet surprisingly durable.
The ring band measures roughly 1/2 inch in width. It is available in Black in the following US ring sizes:
US Size 5 (15.7mm)
US Size 5.5 (16mm)
US Size 6 (16.5mm)
US Size 6.5 (16.9mm)
US Size 7 (17.3mm)
US Size 7.5 (17.75mm)
US Size 8 (18.2mm)
US Size 8.5 (18.5mm)
US Size 9 (18.95mm)
US Size 9.5 (19.35mm)
You can order the rings in the glossy coat or in an uncoated matte finish.
